Arnugar, the grief talisman of the Skellan people, northern Völmar.
Prop design for a mourning object: carved by the mourner after the funerary rite.
Design goal: a form shaped by the hand rather than the eye. The silhouettes stay soft and ambiguous, between animal and stone, so each piece reads as personal and unfinished. Four ivory and bone variations explore how individual carvers would interpret the same tradition; the amber version shows the rare, high-status material.
Focus: material rendering (bone, ivory, sea-amber), handheld scale, cultural logic.
Personal worldbuilding project.
